Easter Sale (Poster to promote the event) Hours:2
For the Easter Sale, which is a traditional school event in Markham College, Sofia Cacho-Sousa and I spent some hours creating a creative poster to promote the sale of various products such as chocolate eggs, brownies, sunflowers and besos de moza. We needed to find a unique way to promote this school event. The poster was a success as there were lots of students waiting to buy the products and they clearly got the info needed from it, there were no problems in relation to the information communicated.Sofia and I were proud of our work and that all the money collected was for a good cause.
I demonstrated the following Learning Outcomes:
LO 1 - Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth --> we needed to agree in each step of the poster's development, thus our creativity needed to match.
LO 3 - Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience --> Both of us put our names forward to design the poster.
LO 4 - Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences --> we needed to present it before Easter week, deadline we met.
LO 5 - Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively --> The afternoon we spent together designing the poster was highly beneficial.
LO 7 - Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions --->we used proper images and text for the school environment.
