English

2016

 Hours:4

Mr Chris Martin our new English teacher asked me if I could design some posters related to the novels that we had read in the past bimester, in order to promote a happier environment at school. I decided to create a poster using the Gatsby’s cover font and also design cars of the roaring 1920’s for other posters that would be pasted on the walls, making the classroom more attractive. The outcome was successful as a lot of the students liked them and even some younger students found them interesting which made them look forward to reading the Great Gatsby by Scott. Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby novel themes helped me create the final posters

I demonstrated the following Learning Outcomes:

LO 1 - Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth --> I am not very good at drawing but I still wanted to produce a 1920's car, which I did.

LO 3 - Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience --> I had 2 days to produce the car in order to receive feedback from my teacher so I needed to work efficiently.

LO 4 - Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences --> I used the teacher's feedback and improved my poster, and instead of just doing 1 car I drew 4 of them
